Extra sessions

When we see good breeze on the forecast we will try to add extra sessions. These normally occur in the winter between November and March. They normally come with short notice. They are added to the app so you can RSVP. We use these sessions to target big breeze, big waves, or offshore shifty winds. Sailors that are 'All In' can join these sessions at no extra cost. Sessions are open to all ocean classes.

Intro to Youth Classes
This class is for Sabot and Opti sailors looking to build skills in Youth Classes such as C420 and ILCA to qualify for our Development Team. Sailor can use club boats or bring their own. 
 
Sessions run 11am - 5pm on Sundays

Age minimum:
must be 13 or older

Sailors are responsible for finding their own partners. Partners are expected to train regularly as a unit to elevate performance and prepare for events. 

Practice:
Sundays 11am-5pm
Mondays 4pm-7pm or 30 minutes after sunset, whichever is first (After March 9th)
*No sessions the weekends we host Youth Match Race Clinics, I420 Clinics, CISA clinic, Opening Day, Easter, or regatta weekends. 

You can now swap between ILCA/Double Handed practice at no additional cost except charter fees. The following restrictions apply:

  • Regattas in your secondary class will come at an additional cost.
  • If you sign up for Double Handed and want to go to Saturdays in ILCA this will be an additional fee. You can only swap Sundays and Mondays. This is as Double Handed doesn't have a Saturday session to swap. 
  • If you sign up ILCA and swap a session for Double Handed you will be charged a $20 charter fee per person on Sundays and $10 on Mondays. This is because this program uses club boats. 

We are trialing this for the Spring program. It will only be successful if RSVPs are kept up-to-date so the coaches can plan accordingly. 

Practices will be in the C420 except the weekends before a Shadden Series where they will practice in CFJ.
